We have specialists who have the training and experience to translate:
- Instructions for Use (IFUs) and packaging texts
- User Interface (UI) for software and apps
- Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
Translating medical device documents demands a specific set of skills. A translator must not only have the required medical knowledge, but also an understanding of the technical aspects of a product.
This is why we have a separate team of medical technology translators at MediLingua. Our team is at your disposal for anything from x-ray equipment and insulin pens to ophthalmic devices.
Compliance is key
The Medical Devices Directive (MDD), the In-Vitro Diagnostic Directive (IVDD) and the Active Implantable Medical Devices Directive (AIMDD) will soon be replaced with the new Medical Devices Regulation (MDR). The MDR will have important consequences for medical device manufacturers. The requirement to translate user information into the languages of the countries, in which the product is marketed, will probably not change.
