Don’t let language barriers block your market entry

Dental products are improving the oral health and confidence of patients the world over. And as people live longer, the demand for them is only set to grow.

But like other dental companies, you may be feeling the regulatory squeeze since the MDR came in. With stricter rules and longer waits for CE marking, you need to get the language versions of your documentation right first time. Luckily, this is where we come in.

If you’d like extra reassurance about how our dental translation services work, keep reading. If you need anything else, we’re only an email away.

I need a translation pronto. How quickly can you deliver?

Time invested now is time saved later. What happens if a Notified Body queries your translation? Or if a surgeon misunderstands your IFU and harms a patient?

Our dental translation services never take shortcuts with quality. Sure, our process takes time. But the translation you get back is complete. You can depend on it during regulatory approval, product launch and beyond.

Are your dental translation recognised by Notified Bodies?

Notified Bodies trust our translations because we’re ISO-certified (9001:2015 and 17100:2015). Also, because we apply a multi-step quality control process to every translation that passes through our office.

On top of that, we focus on dental, medical and pharmaceutical documents. And we can issue a translation certificate for ease of auditing. So you can use our dental translation services with confidence. They are accepted by auditors.

How does your dental translation service work?

Our dental translations follow 3 phases:

First, our dental project manager screens your document for any issues that might affect how it looks and reads. If they find any, they contact you to iron them out. Our philosophy is, if you get the document right in 1 language, you get it right in all of them.

Second, your document goes to our translator, then to our reviser, and then to our quality assurance specialist. Each adds another layer of expertise to the translation.

Lastly, the project manager liaises with you to finalise the translation. At this point, some clients ask in-country surgeons to review our translation. If these surgeons feel that any terms do not align with what they say locally, the terms are updated in the translation. Only when you and your end users are delighted do we consider the translation complete.

Does my documentation need to be in all 27 languages of the EU?

Usually not. It depends on your required documentation and intended reader. For example, some EU countries accept documents in English if the documents are for healthcare professionals only. In any case, we cater for all the major languages.

What kinds of dental documentation do you translate?

We work with dental companies that manufacture dental implants, surgical instruments, dental implant placement tools and dental planning software. We also help companies that market braces, clear aligners and remote monitoring software.

For all these products, we translate instructions for use (IFUs), technical documentation, marketing materials, educational videos, web pages, catalogues, and more. Email us if you’re not sure about your document. We’re here to help.
